COMMUNITY PICNIC A HUGE SUCCESS

The annual Lakeshore Picnic held on August 19 was a great success! Lakeshore residents and guests contributed generously to the potluck. Scott was the first guest to contribute to the potluck with a large bucket filled with ice and cold drinks. Another resident brought a salad that was so beautiful and delicious that it should have been featured in a gourmet magazine. Sharon and her husband and Eleen brought a custom-decorated cake with a picture of a sailboat and a “Happy 48th Birthday to Lakeshore” The tables and dance floor were decorated with sunflowers and balloons thanks to Sue and Francine.  The dance floor was full until the deejay stopped at 9:00 pm. Thousand Oaks DeeJay played popular favorites that attracted boaters on the lake to sail by very slowly to enjoy the music and laser light show after dark.

A huge thank you to Terese Schwartz and the picnic volunteers for organizing this fun event.  Hope to make this an annual Lakeshore summer event!
